Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and skilled Product Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing innovative and user-centric products and features for our online therapy platform that align with our company’s vision and customer needs. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to ensure design concepts are feasible and meet business objectives. Additionally, the Product Designer will engage in negotiations and discussions with internal stakeholders to refine design details and achieve consensus.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design Development: Create compelling, user-centric design solutions for various products, considering functionality, aesthetics, and user experience.
  • Collaborative Work: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other team members to conceptualize and implement design ideas, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively negotiate and discuss design concepts and details with internal stakeholders, effectively communicating design vision and rationale to achieve consensus and buy-in.
  • User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions, ensuring products meet user needs and expectations.
  • Prototyping: Develop prototypes to visualize design concepts, facilitating effective communication of ideas and enabling iterative refinement based on feedback.
  • Design System Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a design system and guidelines to ensure consistency across products and platforms.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design practices and outcomes.
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, UX/UI Design, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of proven experience as a Product Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Experience in an Agile environment as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
  • A user-centric mindset, with a deep understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

*This position is remote and will be based out of your home office in Canada
